COMPANY LEADERSHIP
Kevin Michel is a Professional Engineer (PE) and President of Xcel Mechanical Systems. Mr. Michel oversees all company operations. Since founding Xcel Mechanical in 1998, he has led the company through its growth from a small union mechanical and plumbing contractor into an award-winning engineering, construction and service provider.
INDUSTRY LEADERSHIP
The California Association of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (CAL SMACNA) selected Mr. Michel to lead the organization as its 50th President. CAL SMACNA is a non-profit statewide trade association representing more than 600 sheet metal and air conditioning contractors who employ more than 25,000 union employees and administrative personnel throughout California.
ENGINEERING LEADERSHIP
Mr. Michel is one of the most respected mechanical engineers in the industry, known for his deeply intuitive approach to design “constructability”. Building owners, facilities managers, engineering consultants and general contractors routinely invite his perspective on how to build a project before it is designed in order to hit key objectives including cost, schedule and quality. Mr. Michel has developed a best-in-class engineering team to ensure the same success throughout all phases of our client’s projects.
