The Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) serves the unique needs of approximately 2,600 firms involved in heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, piping, and mechanical service. We do this by providing our members with high-quality educational materials and programs to help them attain the highest level of managerial and technical expertise. MCAA includes the Mechanical Service Contractors of America, the Plumbing Contractors of America, the Manufacturer/Supplier Council, the Mechanical Contracting Education and Research Foundation and the National Certified Pipe Welding Bureau.
CPMCA is the California Plumbing & Mechanical Contractors Association. CPMCA is the voice of the union plumbing and mechanical contracting industry in Southern California. SMACNA is the Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association. SMACNA is an internationally recognized standards-setting organization well-known for its technical standards and expertise in the HVAC and sheet metal industries. The voluntary technical standards and manuals developed by SMACNA Contractors have found worldwide acceptance by the construction community, as well as foreign government agencies.
California Association of Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors, National Association is a non-profit statewide trade association representing over 600 sheet metal and air conditioning contractors who employ more than 25,000 union employees and administrative personnel throughout the state of California. Our mission is to provide legislative and regulatory advocacy and program services. Our goal is to help unify the voice of our industry for the combined benefit of our companies, our employees, our communities and our industry.
The Sheet Metal Industry is unique because it is the only construction trade that designs, manufactures and installs its own products. Sheet Metal Shop Workers take ordinary pieces of flat metal and make them into specialized products like duct systems and solar panels.
